Who processes your data

What data we process and why

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, phone number and email and, if you provide them, your company, address, type of metal, approximate weight and comment.
We use this data only to answer your request and prepare an offer.

• Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
• Where it goes: the request is stored in the website's administration system and sent to our email.
• How long we keep it: 12 months after our last contact. If we enter into a contract, the data is kept for as long as accounting and tax laws require.

Phone and email

If you call or write to us, we process your phone number or email address and what you tell us in order to answer and provide the service.

Website statistics and advertising

Only with your consent, we use:

• Google Analytics, to understand how the website is used (pages visited, device type, approximate location);
• Google Ads, to measure how well our ads work and to show you our ads on other websites.

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.

Google map

The map on the contacts page loads only after you open it. Google then receives your IP address and browser data under Google's privacy policy.

Who we share data with

We do not sell data. It is processed only by our staff and by these service providers acting on our behalf:

• DigitalOcean, LLC: website server, in its EU data centre;
• Mailgun Technologies, Inc.: sending contact form emails, from its EU data centre;
• Inbox.lv: the email service where we receive and answer contact form messages (Latvia);
• Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps.

Google, DigitalOcean and Mailgun are US-based companies, so data may be transferred to the USA. Such transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We use necessary cookies without consent because the website does not work without them (Section 7.¹ of the Latvian Information Society Services Law). We use all others only with your consent.

Google may also set its own cookies on its own domains. We also keep two flags without personal data in the browser's storage (localStorage): whether you opened the map (google_maps_allowed) and whether you closed the announcement (site_banner_closed_until).

You can change your choice at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• get information about your data and a copy of it;
• correct inaccurate data;
• ask for your data to be erased or its processing restricted;
• object to processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time.

To do so, write to lommetalla@inbox.lv. We will reply within one month.
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (www.dvi.gov.lv).

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page.
